The workings of a well system
Drinking directly from the well/aquifer is like drinking from a river. There are many strains of bacteria, some friendly, some not. The moment chlorine/bromine comes in contact with any bacteria, it kills it. There are many systems for a well, but we feel you will get the most for your dollar by going with a bromine system. As soon as iron comes in contact with bromine, it oxidizes it, and the iron is separated from the water. Also all the bacteria is terminated. The water must be sent to a contact tank and then a final wash tank consisting of carbon and greensand. The carbon will eliminate the bromine that was introduced to the water and the greensand will capture the iron. Once the iron is captured, the tank will clean itself of all these impurities each night.
The water will be pristine and clear! A well softener is an option.
